and another thing

What's with giving up because things get difficult or there are tensions. That is life and it certainly isn't negative. Its beautiful and it's balanced.. we can't have one without the other.

Why do we all take 'no' or disagreement so personally, it could be part of our strength, it could be fuel, material, inspiration......

Phew, Rachel, I am glad that you are saying that. I completely agree to the point that of course the exhibition would then not sit in the frame of the Franko B scheme (but next to it or against it as we would not have the name attached to it - as Franko is against the idea of pulling it through), which is not at all a bad thing.

I wanted to suggest to do another exhibition instead. To be honest though it needs more than one person wanting to do it and I felt with actually quite a few of us against it that it would be more a group show detached from the idea of a show as the Franko B Mentoring group.
As I felt Jon, Harminder and Roxani are up to it and of course me too. Who else was in for it? This is our big chance to actually grow together, find common strands of thought processes and interests. Maybe to find out that it doesn't work very well.
The strongest connections have been made through taking on challenges, which we often haven't even been asked for if we wish to encounter those.

I enjoy taking on challenges and learn from them. Jumping into the deep end is one of my favourites.

We are also a lot free-er to decide about the form of the exhibition.

Well, Rachel, let's stop the big words as you say and see who is interested and when we will meet up (on the 1st?) and and and.

Harminder and Roxani, I wanted to say so much about your post because I agree about so much. I started to write a long text but as usual didn't get to finish it because it landed me in a state of frustration about the state we are in as a group. I will have to do that via personal emails or when we see each other next to have a chat... Harminder, I have the same suspicions as you mentioned...

Also as Rachel says we had all different aims and expectations when we joined the mentoring scheme...

I am at the moment entangled in a lot of heated up conversations at the moment art wise, which means for me that there is a lot happening at the moment in the active contemporary art world and there are opportunities all over the place to pull something really exciting off.
Let's go for it!!!!
Bxx
